Meet the Architects

Lewis and Mallon is an architecture and design practice with studios in Bath and Dorset. Led by Carly Mallon and Scott Lewis, we design bespoke new homes, reconfigure existing houses, and provide interior design advice.

We are a small, close-knit studio with experience delivering projects of all sizes across the southwest. We believe great architecture should celebrate the character of the client inside and out, which is why we also offer interior design packages.

Carly Mallon

ARCHITECT & FOUNDER

Carly is a qualified architect with a design and project management portfolio encompassing a wide range of sectors. She has extensive experience of high-end residential design for both domestic clients and commercial developers. The majority of her projects have been in sensitive planning contexts such as conservation areas, World Heritage Sites, listed houses, historic parks & gardens and the Green Belt.

As a certified Passivhaus designer, Carly is motivated to create sustainable places that enhance the quality of our processes and the overall built environment.

Scott Lewis

Architect & Founder

Scott’s experience encompasses a diverse range of projects and sizes, ranging from larger Higher Education buildings to high-end domestic extensions. His projects include several school buildings, an RIBA short-listed house on the South Coast, and installations for Clerkenwell Design Week and the London Design Festival.

After dedicating seven years to a large London-based practice, Scott made the decision in early 2020 to depart and focus on projects for Lewis and Mallon. This shift was driven by a desire to engage with smaller-scale projects that offer opportunities for innovation and modern construction methods. He maintains a keen interest in digitally manufactured construction. During the lockdown, he embarked on a self-build project known as The Bide—a Tiny House holiday cabin located in Dorset.
